why do we waste our time
when will i need this
why cant i learn what i want

so many pointless hours
so much of my life wasted
yet here i still am
in school

elementary, middle, high, then college

body cant take the sitting
the unhealthy eating
the lack of sleep

I gain weight
as my stress increases

my future dependent
on a number
a letter

so many claim to better schools
they only make it harder

early mornings
late nights
the cycle never ends

every year
they require more
wile students can only do less

cant we end this madness
lets redefine education

less books
more experience

cut out the useless knowledge
none of use care to know

graduate grade school with a degree
in our career of choice

once you can read and write
whats the point of forcing
more and more you don't care about
into your brain

day after day
i follow this cycle
knowing better
but to selfish to change it

i want to go back
have a childhood
not just books

i hope someone
somewhere
sees it to

i hope they know its wrong
i hope they fight for whats right
i hope this ends
